SESDAQ is the second board for Singapore stocks. It stands for Stock Exchange of Singapore Dealing and Automated Quotation. Established in 1987, SESDAQ's purpose is to meet the fund raising needs of local small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
As SESDAQ listed firms are small in size compared to Main Board, investors should expect them to be more risky than Main Board-listed stocks.
On December 17 2007, SESDAQ would cease to exist and Catalist, a sponsor-required listing exchange.
