Equities Unit Trusts

Equities Unit Trusts type of unit trusts usually invest in a equities or more commonly known as stocks and shares in Singapore. But it could also invest in other equities unit trust as well, commonly known as Funds of Funds. For example, Aberdeen Pacific Fund which invest in-house unit trusts. These unit trusts usually invest in a specific country (like Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea), a specific region (like Asia Pacific Ex Japan, North America) or a specific group of countries like Emerging Markets (E.g. Argentina, Chile, China, India) or Greater China (which include Hong Kong, Taiwan and China).

This type of unit trusts is more risky compared to balanced unit trust,bonds unit trust and money market unit trust. It is a long-term investment tool and not recommended for people who need the funds in the short term.
